Chiropractic is a unique health care approach that views the body as having an innate, natural ability to adapt to changes in its internal and external environments and maintain itself in a state of health.  Chiropractic gravitates toward a holistic “total person” approach to healing, which combines elements of the mind, body and spirit.  The mind—body relationship is instrumental in maintaining health and in the healing processes.  It’s as simple as this: your nervous system controls and regulates every cell of your body and when your nervous system doesn’t work right, you don’t work right.  And when you don’t work right, you’re sick!

When bones of the spine become misaligned or move out of their normal position, they can distort the flow of information from the brain to the body.  Without the proper information from the nervous system, the body cannot function to its fullest potential.  Nerve compromise can result from postural distortions that are easily revealed with a few simple tests.  Chiropractors gently correct these misalignments (or vertebral subluxations) to correct interference to the nerve system and the body’s ability to control and coordinate its many functions.

The intent of the chiropractic adjustment is to restore your body’s ability to regulate and heal itself—without drugs and without surgery.  Chiropractic is simple.  It’s natural.  It honors the wisdom of your body.  Many people have experienced the benefits of chiropractic for over a century.

Could Chiropractic help you?

Improved nerve communication between your brain and your body can help everyone.  Neglected spinal problems worsen and make correction more difficult over time.  Modified adjusting approaches can help children, the elderly, or those with special needs.  We believe that health is among our most valuable possessions and we encourage our patients (newborns to seniors) to achieve the highest levels of health they can.  Many health providers face patients who dread coming to their offices, fearful of a painful procedure or suspected bad news about their health.  Chiropractors are fortunate in this regard because the procedures they perform are never invasive.

Our first goal at Hartzell Family Chiropractic is to provide our patients with relief.  During this initial stage of intensive care, we are obligated to uncover the underlying cause of the health problem, suggest a care plan to produce the fastest results possible, offer ways patients can participate in their recovery, and explain value of post-symptomatic wellness care.  Through educational opportunities, we hope to communicate the value of ongoing chiropractic care.
